Demographics:

At the very beginning, boys would play the game mostly while just a few girls would play the game and the percentage of girls was under 10%. On the other hand, the percentage of boys was above 90%.Actually the participants were more than girls.

There were eight high schools that approved the non-contact opposition of flag football. In 2006, according to the New York Times, 70% of high school  football athletes were white and 20% were black. It is most amazing that black youth are seen more than white youth playing the game.

Participant in American High School football:

Homeschooled students get permission to take part in this game as they are approved to participate in the game. They have various options to join the game. Such as they can participate in the game independently or in a freelance team.

Though they can take part in the game according to their wishes, they need to compete with private schools. Besides, they may need to compete with public schools, though it  is a very rare scene. Florida allows homeschooled students to compete in interscholastic games and it is for their local district.

Approving Organization:

Authorizing organizations play some important rules in this perspective. There were minimum sanctioning organizations for public schools in every  state.

On the Contrary, many states follow the different kinds of authorizing organizations that continue interscholastic games in most private schools.

The sanction committee mainly divides the school into several groups based on the quantity of students. Finally, each group is divided into geographic states.

Season:

Every team is very much professional. They normally have a game plan for next season such as how they will train up the player and what their target is and so on.

Anyway every team wants top place in the high school football ranking and that’s why they make or arrange their team according to their choice or target.

Keeping in mind the upcoming season, initially they start their campaign with different kinds of physical exercise like weightlifting and many other physical fitness training. It is noticeable that some states start their campaign for the next season with the end of last season.

Most states follow the same game fixture like they arrange their team following ten games in a single season. In early September or late August, the first game of the season is started and the final game of the season is held in mid to late October.

The games schedules are changeable depending on states' weather and it is an official announcement. Thursday evening and Friday night are fixed to be played and most high schools follow these days strictly.

Playoff and Post-Season:

Once upon a time there was just a polling system to win state championships and many states won the championship just following this system. This odd system had been vanished quickly by the emerging playoff system.

Many states had started to increase the number of teams following the playoff system.

Mascot:

Mascot carries different kinds of  symbols such as Tigers, Eagle, Trojans, Warriors, image of strength, Speed, Bravery and many more. These symbols also carry the external meaning of a team. And so every team wished to have its individual mascot. Some teams were named based on localton like Yuma Union High School.
